Library-Tech Leader Doug Johnson and I are working on a practical guide for school librarians on 1:1 and BYOD programs. Both of us see this shift towards putting a device in every student's hand as having a major impact on the work of school librarians and we want to help you be ahead of the curve.
If you are a librarian in a school that is 1:1 or actively BYOD, please consider sharing your experiences by taking our brief survey (Doug was adamant that our survey take no more than 3 minutes to complete, so when we say brief, we mean it!) Also, if you're a member of a state listserve or if you know other school librarians to whom this may apply (but who might not stumble across this post) please consider passing our request along. The more data we compile the better.
As Doug said in his post this morning, " I'm not sure how we'll distribute the final guide, but I am guessing that it will free and under CC license. Our ambitious plan is to have it completed by early February." Ambitious indeed!
